After the engine was left standing overnight, the residual pressure of the lubricating oil on the various friction surfaces had long disappeared, and the oil film protection was lost. At low temperatures, the viscosity of the lubricating oil greatly increased, and the adhesion and fluidity deteriorated. At this time, the resistance to start the engine's movement is greatly increased, and more than 60% of the power is used to overcome the resistance during start-up.
When cold machine must be warmed up
The amount of wear of the engine at cold start is approximately the same as that of other conditions. In other words, the amount of wear of the engine at cold start is about half of the total wear. A normal idling warm car can reduce this wear and extend the life of the engine. At low temperatures, the metal will exhibit less elasticity and abrasion resistance. Only at operating temperature, the engine can achieve normal fit clearance and maintain optimal working conditions. After starting the engine at a low temperature, if the vehicle is started immediately, the engine will have a non-uniform mixing ratio, resulting in insufficient output power; at a low temperature, insufficiently atomized fuel will not be able to fully burn and easily form carbon deposits; some gasoline will not be atomized and will follow along. The cylinder wall flows directly into the crankcase and mixes with the oil to reduce oil quality.
The warm car is not as long as possible
For long periods of hot cars, engines do no work, and waste of fuel is not conducive to environmental protection. Under normal circumstances, mid-to-low-end vehicles can operate normally at idle speed, and water temperature of 70°C~80°C is appropriate. Under normal idle speed, the carburettor engine runs smoothly after pushing back the choke valve; the EFI engine is reduced from 1200rpm to rpm of 800rpm, and the driver can only take the car by simply looking at the tachometer.
