According to the Zhanjiang branch of CNOOC Ltd., the Ledong 22-1 gas field invested and developed by China National Offshore Oil Corporation was successfully put into operation today. The gas field is designed to produce 1.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas, which is mainly used for Hainan's new industrial projects.
The annual design capacity of the Ledong 22-1 gas field is 1.5 billion cubic meters. Due to the main supporting project in the downstream of the gas field, CNOOC's 800,000 tons of methanol located in Hainan Dongfang has not yet been completed. Therefore, the Ledong 22-1 gas field currently mainly supplies two sets of chemical fertilizers and one methanol plant for CNOOC Chemical Co., Ltd. Hainan Base, and some natural gas supplies. Yangpu Power Plant, Jinhai Pulp and Paper Factory, and Minsheng Gas are used by downstream users. The Ledong 15-1 gas field is expected to be put into operation one month later, with an annual production capacity of 500 million cubic meters.
The offshore natural gas produced by the Ledong 22-1 gas field will be dewatered on the platform after being discharged from the wellhead, and then pressurized through 105 km of submarine pipelines and approximately 68 km of onshore pipelines before being transported to the Eastern Terminal, via terminal devices. After a series of processes such as oil and gas separation, it is supplied to downstream users.
