Meritor introduces a new generation of front axles to China's bus market

Meritor (NYSE: MTOR) today announced at the World Bus Expo Asia Exhibition that it will introduce a new generation of MFS73149, a new generation of front axles for Chinese passengers.

MFS73149 is a new front axle developed by the company, which is suitable for low-floor urban public transportation and sightseeing vehicles from 11 to 18 meters. The MFS73149, launched this time, uses the large front axle product technology widely used in the European and North American markets, and has optimized the design and development according to the actual conditions and needs of the Chinese market.

This new front bridge has the following advantages and features:

· The steering angle can reach up to 55°; the turning radius is smaller and the vehicle maneuverability is enhanced.

· Lightweight axle design is 5% lighter than similar products in the domestic market, effectively improving fuel economy.

· Standard ELSA225 Air Disc Brake, Meritor's industry leader, said: “In the 12th Five-Year Plan recently announced, Meritor China’s road business managing director, Jason Apter, said:” China continues to emphasize the strengthening of infrastructure and encourage the promotion of public transport. The MFS73149 can be fitted with the Meritor rear drive axle MC13175 and installed on low-entry city buses. In addition, it can also match most suspension systems in the Chinese market.
