The total area of ​​large-scale irrigation districts in China is not large, but it produces one-quarter of the country's grain and contributes one-third of the total agricultural output value.

During the “Thirteenth Five-Year Plan” period, we will transform 4,300 large-scale irrigation districts and more than 2,500 medium-sized irrigation districts to develop an effective irrigation area of ​​1 billion mu.

The third is to improve the level of agricultural mechanization.

At present, in the cotton industry in Xinjiang, due to the low degree of mechanization, the cost of only one part of cotton mining accounts for 40% of the total cotton production.

During the “Thirteenth Five-Year Plan” period, the whole process of mechanization will be promoted in the pre-production and post-production of crops. By 2020, the comprehensive mechanization of agriculture will reach over 70%.

The fourth is to speed up the construction of a modern logistics system for agricultural products.

In recent years, China has built logistics channels in the northeast, Bohai Rim and the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River.

The next step will be to support the construction of the cold chain logistics system for agricultural products, to adapt to the transportation needs of a large number of fresh agricultural products, and to support a number of large-scale cold chain logistics enterprises.
