For EFI, oil and gas are already mixed in the intake manifold, and their mixture can have the effect of flushing the intake manifold, making the intake and intake valves less likely to produce large amounts of carbon.
Direct injection fuel injection is not through the intake manifold, so it will not clean the intake manifold. Therefore, once the direct injection engine produces carbon deposits at the intake port, it will be more difficult to remove, making the intake efficiency drop.
Therefore, with the direct injection engine, manufacturers will recommend the use of clean additives, not entirely.
Second, direct injection of giant oil?
For example, as mentioned earlier, direct injection engines need to cooperate with many other technologies to achieve maximum efficiency. However, if many domestic direct injection engines are used to castrate the stratified combustion technology, its performance certainly is not as good as the publicity.
Because the fuel consumption problem is related to too many factors, gearbox matching, vehicle weight, driving habits, road conditions, etc. will have even greater impact.
